Search WorldCat to find books and journals held in other libraries.  Titles you would like to borrow can usually be obtained via Interlibrary Loan (ILL). Please see a Reference Librarian for further information or read box below....

InterLibrary Loan (ILL)

InterLibrary Loan (ILL) is a cooperative arrangement among libraries through which one library may borrow materials from another. Certain types of publications, such as reference works and videos/DVDs, may not be available for loan, depending upon the policies of the lending library.  If you wish to obtain books or copies of journal articles that are not held by the NWC Library, you should request an ILL.

If you are affiliated with the Naval War College AND HAVE A NWC LIBRARY ACCOUNT ID NUMBER, you should request an ILL via this link Request Interlibraryloan Link .

Classified Library Titles

Individuals with a Naval War College ID badge and a secret-level security clearance may check classified materials out of the library if the items will be stored in a secure safe. If a secure location is not available, materials must be returned the same day (by 1600) to the Classified Library.

Once checked out, you may keep the item(s) indefinitely.  HOWEVER, item(s) may be recalled after 7 days if requested by another patron or immediately when needed for placement on the reserve shelf.
