The NWC Library Keytag.
This fall, since we have not met you face-to-face, we are using your Learner ID from
your Blackboard account as a form of library ID. Your learner ID preceded by your first
and last initial will function as your identification when you place a book title in the catalog
on hold, and when you request an Interlibrary Loan (ILL). For those of you who have been
part of the NWC community prior to COVID-19, continue to use your keytag number as library
ID. Please login to your Blackboard account and look under "My NWC" to find your learner ID.

On the left of the screen, you will see the tools menu with an option to select your personal
information.

Within your personal information, you will see "Edit Personal Information" as your first option.
Click into this section to find your Learner ID.

My ID for library purposes would be my initials JZ,  followed by the seven numbers of my
learner's ID.  JZ_______

Any research and writing project will benefit from searching the EBSCO journal databases.
The EBSCO International Security and Counter-Terrorism Center and the Military & Government
Collection

are two databases that specifically support topics in international and military affairs.
These collections can be accessed via the Databases A-Z listing on the Learning Commons

This instruction video introduces basic concepts of searching the EBSCO journal literature and includes
some advanced search techniques.
