
Use virtual browse in Primo VE to discover books in your subject that can be found in the
NWC Library's print collection. Here is a quick tip for using the virtual browse search strategy.
Virtual Browse
- Search Primo VE using keywords or titles
- To the left, under "Tweak your results" and "Availability," select "Held by NWC Library"
- The limiter "Held by NWC Library" will retrieve books in the print collection
- Click on a book title
- Scroll down through the details of the book and find the virtual browse bookshelf
- Titles in virtual browse will be on the shelf near the selected book
Check Out the Book
- The stacks are open, you can retrieve the book
- Use the self-check machine with your keytag to check it out, or bring it to the circulation
desk on the main level - If you are logged in with your CAC, you can place a hold request to pick up the book curbside

The Online Catalog
The Online Catalog, formally known as Primo VE, provides access to both subscription-based and freely-accessible materials. The collections include print books, electronic books, digital journal and news collections, reports, and papers. The catalog is accessed from the Library and Learning Commons homepage via the Google-like search box. Use the online catalog as an introduction to your literature review and begin finding materials immediately.
