NWC Library Research & Instruction Services: In-class Library Instruction

The purpose of this guide is to enhance and guide the research process. It is compiled to address specific questions regarding research and the how-to's of utilizing library resources

Library Instruction Sessions

The Reference Librarians at the NWC Library offer instruction sessions to student and staff at the Naval War College.  We are committed to instructing the NWC community on how to utilize the library's resources, and to foster and develop the research skill of our patrons to help them become lifelong learners.

Contact us to invite a librarian to visit one of your classes:

  • To introduce themselves and the library to students
  • To teach students about the library's resources and how to access them
  • To teach students important research skills so they can get the most out of the resources available to them

Contact us to invite a librarian to meet with particular staff members or departments to update them on new electronic resources/journals, or to give a refresher on the library's vast resources.
