ALERT | Library Services Update for March 30 - April 13, 2020

The NWC Library and Learning Commons is closed with virtual services available at libref@usnwc.edu
and https://usnwc.edu/Learning-commons

In line with the College’s updated response to the COVID-19 crisis (updated 29 March 2020), which calls for mission-essential workforce starting on Tuesday, Library facilities will be closed. We continue to provide many of our services virtually.

Requests for research support and other library-related inquiries:

We continue to provide virtual services, including research consultation and support. Research and instruction librarians can be reached by email, which will be staffed M-F from 0800-1630.

For research support: libref@usnwc.edu

Checking out library materials:

Checking-out physical materials from the NWC Library has been suspended until further notice. We will reassess all Library services on an ongoing basis and post updates as required. If you hold any borrowed in your possession, including interlibrary loan books, keep them in your possession until the library reopens. Overdue notices have been suspended. If you receive any, please disregard.

For questions regarding borrowed materials: circdesk@usnwc.edu

Interlibrary loans:

We are unable to fill interlibrary loan requests for books at this time. While you may submit book requests, they will be held for future processing.

We may be able to process some journal article requests while others will be held for future processing.

For interlibrary loan support: ill@usnwc.edu

Faculty e-Reserve processing:

We cannot process e-Reserve requests submitted by faculty at this time. While you may submit e-Reserve requests via Blackboard, they will be held in a queue for later processing when the Library reopens.
