 Prompt Global Strike (PGS) is a United States Military effort to develop a system that can deliver a precision conventional weapon strike anywhere in the world within minutes or hours, using non-nuclear weapons to hone in on specific targets.

Conventional Deterrence

Conventional Deterrence relies on a nation's conventional military forces to wage long range precision strikes and non-contact warfare against an adversary.  It also involves the technology to detect opponents' weapons in advance, thus deterring them from taking any further action.
