ART: WOMEN IN WAR AND COMBAT

Student Team Presentations At Museum Site

Purpose: Discover through an artistic forum, the presentation of female warriors, female leaders in war and females in combat environments.  Consider artifacts in the form of statuary,
archeological pieces, paintings and drawings, coins and stamps and jewelry related to the themes of the elective course of study. Students will select teams of two or more and spend
approximately two hours at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts and select a work of art or artifact that is representative of curriculum content. A short brief will be given by the teams to
each other by noting why they selected their artifact or work of art with a brief background and story about their choice.
